Namaste,

I think we have been misled by having a justice system in society to think that there is justice in the world itself. I personally don't think there is someone who watches out for us from the clouds and dish out appropriate treatment. Buddhist have karma, and since there is no evidence to support nor disregard it, I hold onto it lightly. I realised that since birth, we never had a right to choose where we were born into. And hence, we are sometime condemned to live within a certain environment, however hard we may struggle to free ourselves from it. I recently had an enlightenment when I realised that we were all like fished born in fish tanks. However hard we might strive to break free, we have to accept the fact that some people are born into places we spend our whole lives fighting to reach, and may never make it there. It is so, and we should aim to live fully within our environment.

Just some of my after thoughts.

Yes, we must EMBRACE IT ALL! Not just with your words, minds, thoughts, actions, etc. But with your whole body! FEEL IT, FEEL IT, FEEL IT. Drop down out of your head, out of your words, your ideas, out of your mind, and FEEL the textures, the sensations, whatever they are. Drop the story, whatever it is, and just feel. I might add that it is what we call the "bad" things that life brings, the emotions and feelings in the body that accompany them, the times when we just want to "numb-out", those are the times that offer the greatest gift - if we can stop running from, trying to avoid, trying to prevent and trying to protect ouselves from this potent energy and just sit with it and let it flow through us - breathe with it, embrace it - this is where the Magic happens, don't believe me, try it for yourself. Live it, be it, feel it - you know all the words, you've heard it all - NOW - every moment - FEEL IT!

Well, from my own personal experience - trying, struggling or forcing anything (especially the mind) to be still, only creates more of the same. I found that by ALLOWING it, smiling at it's antics, not paying any attention to it and especially not believing what it says, in other words STOP FEEDING IT YOUR ATTENTION - it will gradually take a back seat! Really!! Remember, what we resist - persists! I call it the ME-mind - and what you are wanting to cultivate (not by force or struggle) is the Free-mind, right? Think about it!!

Yes - it is quite a challenge for us to Allow people to struggle, because most of the time we are only "helping" because it makes US feel good.... we call it love, compassion, helpfullness, etc. BUT it is really selfishness- IF you can get real honest with yourself and really feel the sensation in your body when even a small situation arises and you "do nothing". Practice THIS- this allowing your body to feel uncomfortable - just breathe and stay focused within while knowing that THEY are entirely capable to handle their life - that they know what is best for them and not anybody else. Notice how uncomfortable it is to "mind your own business" - to LOVE and let LIVE!! Can you find the courage to ALLOW what is to be as it is?? It is a very unfamiliar way and so it will be uncomfortable and your mind will say "that's crazy advice". Just try it and you will begin to see how needy you are, how you are addicted to those "good feelings" and the the love, approval, appreciation, etc. that you receive from others!! I like to remember a quote that really spoke to me when I was beginning to practice this FOR my children and grandchildren....."their Challenge is to see that they can get along without me - and my CHALLENGE is to let them"... Are YOU up for the challenge?? IT IS ALL UP TO YOU!!! I KNOW you can!! YOU have everything you need inside you-- feed it, nourish it, wake it up. Another quote that helped me was..."Things may FEEL worse before they FEEL better, BUT they will NEVER get better unless YOU ALLOW them to get worse!!

Yes - however, until we can accept and allow everything about ourselves - "the good, the bad, and the ugly", to see ourselves as perfect, and stop trying to fix or deny or avoid any emotion, thought, feeling that arises in us moment- to see and give thanks for all that has ever been - to love, respect and honor our WHOLE selves - we will NEVER be able to SET THE WORLD FREE!!!! (this is experiential wisdom)- Make peace with yourself!!

mmmm...... I agree & am now wondering how free I am & what it means to me. We do chose to have the life we lead, so am I free....... will come back to you. We do have a choice, what's difficult is seeing the "wood for the tree" as they say. We are often blinded by having tunnel vision, not making time to stop & evaluate where we are & are we happy. Many of us are robots .....
